Has weight lifting changed your life and boosted your confidence?!

Question: Over 12 years ago I got picked on so much that it was driving me completely insane. And all the "bullies" were skinny and weak but ran with a "tougher" crowd. By tougher i mean fatter and taller than the 80lb kids they messed with. It got so bad that I was gonna bring a knife to school. Not to hurt nebody but to intimidate them, but who knows what could have happened. But I'm glad I didn't because when I was 11 my dad started bringing me in the gym with his powerlifting buddies and they showed me how to get bigger and stronger. All those guys, along with my dad, even confronted the dad and their "bully" sons and gave them a piece of their minds. Well I started getting bigger and stronger, my confidence skyrocketed and nobody bullied me nemore even to this day. Presently, I still continue to lift (now bodybuilding), have many friends who repsect me and ask for my help, in college for an excellent career, and greatest of all, the people who messed with me over 12 years ago now act like they r my best friends. So yea, weight lifting changed my life for the better and I will continue to do it until the day I die, which oddly, most idiots say is bad but trust me, I study it day-in and day-out and all my professors who study it day-in and day-out will say the same thing. So I would recommend that every body do it and it doesn't have to be for any specific reason but to keep healthy.

it did when I was doing it, I slacked off got deppressed. it really gave me a positive look on life, kind of an escape for an hour or two.

nah not really. I do do weights just it hasn't changed my life that much. Something that has changed my life though is jogging. I've been jogging quite a lot since the beginning of the year and then we moved onto athletics in PE and omg I was one of the very fastest in my year. Everyone was SO surprised and I LOVED the easy feeling of running fast. I was one of the slowest before.
