Question: I surf the net on laptop with a wireless connection. It's usually quite close to my genitals and i was worried about the safety of this. Also how it would compare in terms of radiation absorption with keeping a cell phone in your hip pocket.

WIFI is a weaker signal than the cell phone signal. Move your laptop closer to you knees, solves the heat problem also.
