I got them the first time i went against the grain. They went away in about a week. After they went away i shaved against the grain again. A much smaller amount of ingrown hairs came this time. Now they are gone and don't come back. Try getting the Gillette sensitive skin shaving cream. Make put shaving cream on and shave with the grain. Wash of the remaining shaving cream then put shaving cream on again and shave against the grain.
The only thing which will rid you of those painful, pesky ingrown hairs is time. I get them on my head occasionally, but never in my pubic area (ouch!).
Happens a lot, not painful kinda itchy, exfoliate, exfoliate.
