How often do young men experience pain after they had their vasectomies?!

Question: I thinking of it because I don't want kids, and I'm somewhat sex-crazed (despite that I'm a virgin).

How painful would it be for most guys if they had a vasectomy, like how many months? After the vasectomy, can they still be able to work, do all that stuff?

Vasectomies only have lasting pain for up to about two weeks, and the pain/swelling goes down considerably even after just a few days. It will certainly not be a matter of months. You shouldn't do any intense labor immediately after your vasectomy, but after one or two weeks, you're good to go. There shouldn't be any recurring pain after the initial pain subsides, unless something goes wrong with the procedure.

whats a vasectomy

Very little and it passes quickly. Most go back to work or school the next day.

My husband had one after our fourth baby, he went back to work the next day.
One surgeon I worked with told patients to "go home and have three beers, one for each testicle,( thecold keeps the swelling down) and one to drink"!
It's not a big deal, out patient procedure, very small incision into the testicle (guys don't squirm here) and they cut the vas deferens and tie it off. (That's the part that makes the sperm go through). Very reliable, and it CAN be reversed, although it's expensive and doesn't always work.

Well I doubt it's a long lasting pain at all. But on the other hand why have it young...ejaculating is one of the most fun parts of sex...why take that away, use condoms/pills and spare yourself the mutilation. Plus you're a virgin...that's just taking away a joy from your life.

The only pain associated with a vasectomy procedure is when the Doc sticks the needle into your scrotum... then you become numb and in about 20 min you're stitched up and your on your way home... your recovery time at home in bed is about 3-5 days...Then you can go back to work... certainly not in a factory or warehouse job, but with moderation... lastly, your scrotum area is fairly bruised for approx. 2 weeks... black, blue and purple... at the end of 2 weeks you bring the Doc a semen sample to be sure the "Vas Tube" has been fully sealed... All this is assuming there are no complications... I had none... but there is room for complications... particularly swelling of the testes...could last 2-3 weeks... at home... in bed. Doc gives you prescription to fight infection (antibiotics) and mild pain reliever... not much stronger than Tylenol... Now the rest of the story.... I was 28 years and my wife and I had four awesome kids... I do not believe there is a Doc anywhere that would perform this procedure on a virgin of any age... But this day and age maybe I'm wrong.... remember too, a vasectomy is reversible... but personally, I don't think I could stand the knife again... Take care............. and use condoms or better... abstain... peace to you
