Question: I'm a guy and i love putting pennies in my mouth!?
how can i avoid that because i also started putting dimes and nickles too and mom said it's dirty!. helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Oops, when I first read your question, I thought you said something other than pennies, in which case it could just be an oral fixation and not necessarily anything more!.
As for pennies and other coins, there is a metallic taste to them that you might like, and your body needs a certain amount of heavy metals; but too much can be dangerous!. Personally, I prefer to get my heavy metal through headphones!.
And, money is very dirty!. Lots of germs!. If you're going to put money in your mouth, it would be a good idea to boil the money first!. Other types of cleaners can leave a harmful residue that you shouldn't put in your mouth!.
Overall, it seems like a bad idea to put money in your mouth!. A wallet or a pocket seems like a much better place!. Aside from germs, there is a choking hazard!. And, aside from the germs on the money before you put it in your mouth, you add germs!. Some people might not want to handle your money after it's been in your mouth!.
Mouth germs don't live very long outside of the mouth, but still, can you imagine when you're standing in line at McDonald's and the you pay be spitting out coins!? You might as well be crapping them out the other end; nobody wants to touch that!.
Why don't you get braces instead; then you can run your tongue along the metal braces and no one will care!. And you won't have any money left to put into your mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think there is a name for it!. i dont think it would be considered O!.C!.D (obsessive compulsive disorder) but it does sound like you may have some sort of a compulsion to putting change in your mouth regardless of the denomination of the coins!. if youve been doing this all your life and just cant seem to stop yourself from doing it, then i would suggest seeking a therapist who can help you work through it!. money is very dirty and you can choke as well!. hopefully you can get things figured out, good luck man!Www@Answer-Health@Com
