Question: Very worried about my fiance, he swallowed battery acid!?
About a week ago, my fiance swallowed a little battery acid while he was changing the battery in our car!. He called poison control and they told him to drink milk, so he did!. For the past week, he has been feeling very sick!. Sorry if this is TMI, but i am very worried!!.!. He has had severe diarrhea ever since he swallowed it!. He described himself as having cramps and they needed to go #2, very frequently!. He said it is NOT solid when he goes!. He also mentioned that it is a little red but not like blood and that it was green a couple days ago!. His stomach has been constantly upset for the past week, ever since this happened!. Every time he eats something, he gets that feeling in the pit of his stomach again!. So he hasn't eaten much since then!. I advised him to take exlax, thinking that it might clean out his system!. What would you suggest!? He's too stubborn to see a doctor, he says it's not bad enough for that!. Classic man=]] lol!.

Go to Walmart or a drug store and buy some activated charcoal tablets!. These will absorb poisons in his digestive tract!. You can also get them at vitamin stores!. Directions ought to be on the bottle, but in case they aren't, you could suggest he take two to three right away, with a whole glass of water, and then take the same amount in 12 hours!. If he begins to feel better, he can drop the dosage, but keep taking the charcoal for several days!. It is harmless, and is not at all expensive!. Best wishes to you and to him!. Be sure he takes water with the tablets or capsules!.!.!.!.!.!.and if he burps somewhat afterwards, add another glass of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the activated charcoal will help a bit, but it will also keep the toxins in his system until it is passed, and some toxins will get into his blood stream!.!.!.!. he could be slowly poisoning himself, and if he doesn't see a doctor now, he will see one later and then it will cost him a great deal more, and not just in money terms!.
