Will all cigarette smolers experience health problems and get cancer!? Because my dad is 45 and has been smoking for over 15 years and he's still healthy!. He dosen't have respiratory problems and just seems like a normal human being with a fine health!. I have a friend who is a high school senior and he started smoking since freshman year 5 days a week, and he dosen't have any health problems! I'm just wondering - will all cigarette smmokers experience the negative effects!? Or do some or should I say a lot, get lucky and nothing happens to them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

cigarettes don't GUARANTEE that you'll have health problems, but the risks are extremely high and not something i would want to mess with!. your dad is still young, so that's probably why he still seems pretty healthy!. eventually it will catch up with him though!. i've never smoked but i have seen what it can do to you - my grandpa started smoking during WWII, like a lot of WWII vets, and he smoked for 20 years and at the age of 45, he quit cold turkey and never smoked again!. 25 years later he was diagnosed with lung cancer and suffered horribly for 3 years and then died!. my grandma smoked since she was 17 years old up until the day i was born and has been smoke free for 22 years!. about a year ago she was diagnosed with emphysema (a very common illness for smokers)!. although it's not a terminal illness, she is still in a lot of pain and has a lot of trouble doing simple everyday things!.
your dad could be a lucky one!. there are some people who live well into their 90's and still smoke a pack a day (i work at a grocery store that sells cigarettes and see it everyday)!. but if your dad quits now, his life when he gets much older will be much better!. i would urge him to quit smoking!. trust me, it's not pleasent watching your loved ones die a slow and painful death because of something they did when they were younger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
