Is it harmful to run if your groin muscles are aching?!


Question: Is it harmful to run if your groin muscles are aching!?
I had to do a physical fitness test the other day for my police academy and I guess I over exerted myself because my groin muscles are very sore!. It's been 5 days since I have worked out because of this and they still ache!. Would it be harmful to do some light jogging or should I wait till it completley doesn't hurt anymore!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm willing to bet that sit-ups are somehow involved in this!.

Anyway, I would spend a day doing light stretches!. Try to do them 3 - 4 times spread over the day!. If it feels better tomorrow, then I would say light jogging is OK!. If it does not get better, I'd wait another day or two!. Once those muscles get upset, it's pretty easy to do more harm to them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the groin is a very important and sensitive part of the body and one should take all precautions and care!.see what has happened to sachin tendulkar!.he has been unfit for play for both the last ipl matches as well as could not participate in the Olympic torch rally!.any way consult your doctor for getting proper treatment and relief!. some rest will help in the recovery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it is, you might have pulled your groin muscles!. its pretty bad and you should see about rescheduling the test!. professional athleetes are made to sit with the kind of injury your describing, and these guys are in excellent shape!. good luck man, but id get it checked out before you do any further damage!. you probably just need to stay off it for a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
