I started a new workout routine thingy, questions and PAIN!?!

Question: I started a new workout routine thingy, questions and PAIN!!?
Okay!. So I want to have a 6 pack before summer (I have about 8 weeks), so this week, I started focusing on my abs!. I am eating healthier, I jog/run at school 4 times a week (P!.E!.), and I am doing Pilaties and using this DVD called The Firm: 5 day abs !.!.!.!.!.

I have some questions though:

1!. Why is it that directly after im done working out, my abs look visible and feel hard for about 10 minutes, then get reduced back to nothing!?!

2!. Im not fat or anything, but I still have a LITTLE bit of fat on my stomach that I want to get rid of, will working on my abs help get rid of it as long as I keep eating healthy and working out!?

3!.whenever I am actually working out, my abs BURN LIKE CRAP! It hurts so bad! I understand that working out and buliding muscle aren't supposed to feel good, but holy mother of god, I've never felt such excruciating pain!

Do crunches/situps and stuff also help with your pecs or not!?

if there's anything else u want to tell me, please do! thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
1) When you workout, the muscles you are working become engorged with blood!. This makes them visible and hard!. After the workout, that blood starts to leave the muscles and they become less visible and less hard!.

2) If you continue to run, that is what will remove the fat layer from your abs, making the muscles more visible!. The exercise specifically for your abs build muscle, but does not burn fat!.

3) The burn says it's working : ) The burn will lessen as your body adapts to the amount of exercise you are doing!.

4) Abdominal exercises do not have a significant impact on your pecs!. For that you should do a bench press or push ups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
