I've been on Lexapro and Lamictal for over a year, and I HATE what it's done to my sex drive!. I used to have a very high one, but now I only think about sex out of habit but get not much excitement out of it!. It's sooo difficult for me to get aroused, and sometimes I just can't come!. My orgasms aren't as strong as they used to be, and I get so frustrated that I gave up somewhat, went from masturbating about every other day to every other week!. Boo! :( lol

However, my genitals have never felt "numb," and SSRI's aren't supposed to cause that - not in the sense that if you touched your hand to your penis, your penis would feel nothing, anyway!. It might feel "numb" as in your don't feel as easily aroused/pleasured, but if you have numbness in which your genitals have no sensation to heat, cold, pain, tickle, or anything, then get your butt to your doctor immediately, 'cause that's something different!.

P!.S!. I haven't gone off my meds yet, so I can't tell you how long it takes for your sex drive to come back (or the "numbness" to go away), but I hope it's fast!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was taking Lexapro the sexual side effects were taking a long time to ejaculate and not having an orgasm!. It didn't feel pleasurable , but it didn't hurt or anything!.
I'm taking Pexeva now and it doesn't want to let me have an erection!. When I do get an erection and climax the orgasm is better than when I didn't have to take the pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be side effect!. Better to consult with doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
