It is an unnecessary body modification, with no proven health benefits!. The American Association of Pediatrics does not recommend routine circumcision!.
It removes nerve endings that provide sexual pleasure in the adult!.
For those that quote studies showing reduced HIV transmission in African circumcised men!.!.!. First, transmission was only reduced to 50% (would you want those odds!?)!. Second, using a condom every time reduces the likelihood of transmission for both circumcised and uncircumcised men to less than 1% (I like those odds a lot better)!. Third, that one study has not been replicated; and in America, where circumcision rates are high, there has been no reduction in transmission!.
A child should not be altered this way; but I have no problem with an adult who makes an informed decision about having a circumcision!. In an adult, this is the same kind of personal choice as having a Prince Albert or a tattoo!. It's personal choice!. My problem is with parents who think they can cut bits off their children with no medical necessity to do so!.

Circumcision has become a commonplace thing in todays society!. It has nothing to do with the religion of the parents, but everything to do with the parents just beinglazy and lackadazical about the cleanliness of the male infant! All it takes is the foreskin pulled back and everything washed and baby oil applied!. Save that Skin! You are removing a goodly part of the nerve endings which give much pleasure during the sex act!. Most men who are informed are against it!. basically because it was originally conceived as a way to stop men from deriving sexual pleasure!. Obviously those that have had it done will say they are "for it" because they know no different - but they don't know what they are missing!. The foreskin contains unique nerves that cannot be repaired!. They will never experience the pleasure of the skin gliding over the head!. And, they will never be able to masturbate - well properly anyway!. They have to use a cream - but that is not very practicable for a horny teen!. I'm glad that only half of American newborn boys are being circumsized nowadays, and its even more encouraging that only 20% are worldwide!.
If its part of a religious belief (Judaism, Islam) then I can't argue against that, but many parents in the US circumsize their boys because they are misinformed and uneducated about health issues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Against!. I was circumcised as a child --- it should not be done to anyone!. Let boys be born and grow up natural -- then if they want to be circumcised let them decide as adults to do it!. Doing it to children too young to decide on anything is as much child abuse as forcible female circumcision is!.

I got circumcised when I was ten because I couldn't retract my foreskin!.

I am now 14 and know that the whole thing was pointless, and at that age many people cannot!.
For the past 3 weeks i have been attemptng forskin restoration, and it is showing some signs of coming back!.
I was ot cut tightly, and dont actually look circumcised, i look like i have a foreskin that just inst quite so long!.

I got to choose; I grew up, went through puberty and became sexually active uncut!. I got cut as an adult!. And I wouldn't want to go back!. I love it!.

Personally, I am circumcised, and I live in the US where circumcision is the norm!. While I've heard the many arguments of how barbaric circumcision is, I have no complaints, I enjoy sex a lot, no one gives me any problems about being cut, and it's not like I remember it or anything so why would it bother me!? I know a lot of guys who are cut who feel the exact same way!.
At the same time though, I have also spoken with guys who were circumcised and somehow decided that it was barbaric, unfair and terrible!. So much so that they actually went through the process of regrowing their foreskin!. Then I also know guys who were uncut who decided one day that they didn't like it anymore and that's why you'll occasionally see guys on here from age 14-50 asking about male circumcision as teens/adults!.
The only real time I'm against circumcision is when it's forced by parents on a child that isn't an infant (they'll remember it)Www@Answer-Health@Com
