okay this probably sounds like a dumb question BUT help is appreciated!. I always end up dating jerks!. I really really like smart, funny guys, and I always talk to them in my classes, but outside of school I always tend to gravitate toward guys that party because they act more interested in me than the guys in my classes!. I'm going off to college next year and I can't wait to get new friends that care about more than partying and their social lives!.!.!. but it would be nice to be able to date a guy that is smart and nice now! Thing is, it seems like they usually only like me as a friend!? I'm in all honors classes and I always have good conversations with the guys in them but they treat me more like just a friend!.!.!. am I doing something wrong!?

Just a little news-flash, In college the guys are just like in high school, just kick it up a notch, guys in high school are nothing compared to guys in college, In college there is fraternity houses and more parties & drinking!. (especially if you are going to a 4 year university)!.
You are doing nothing wrong, maybe they just don't realize that you are looking for someone like them!.
Just be yourself, and maybe ask one of them out on a date, sometimes you have to make the first move!.

I think the best answer i could give you is just be patient!. You are a beautiful young girl and obviously have a lot to offer!. So go and meet and have fun with a lot of different types of people!. But be very patient and even slow to commit to any type of a relationship!.because with time every ones true intentions or true self with be exposed!.One more thing don't ever sell yourself short and settle for any relationship!. They probably are only treating you like "just a friend" because they are shy-ish!. Maybe they think you are above them!.
