okay this probably sounds like a dumb question BUT help is appreciated!. I always end up dating jerks!. I really really like smart, funny guys, and I always talk to them in my classes, but outside of school I always tend to gravitate toward guys that party because they act more interested in me than the guys in my classes!. I'm going off to college next year and I can't wait to get new friends that care about more than partying and their social lives!.!.!. but it would be nice to be able to date a guy that is smart and nice now! Thing is, it seems like they usually only like me as a friend!? I'm in all honors classes and I always have good conversations with the guys in them but they treat me more like just a friend!.!.!. am I doing something wrong!?

Most smart, academic guys are a little shy in high school!. Compound that with the fact that you end up dating guys who party more (i!.e!. guys they perceive as cooler then them)!. I imagine they think they have no chance!. Or they think if they're really nice, eventually you'll notice them!. Which I guess you have, they just don't realize it!.
When you're with a group of them, you should complain about how you're sick of dating _dumb_ guys and how much more attractive _smart_ guys are!. That will really shoot them through the roof, because although the are probably not confident around girls, not confident about being cool, the one thing guys like that _are_ confident about is being smart!. See which ones panic the most, those would be the ones most in love with you!. Of course they probably won't make a move, you'll have to do that, but at least you'll know for _sure_ that they like you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they are attracted to other types-look at those gals and see where they are different!. Don't try to be like those other gals, but just try to figure out what they do/have that you have in yourself but are not bringing to the forefront!.
