Question: What's a good max bench if you weigh 175!?
Just trying to set some goals, I'm 5' 8", 175lbs

As far as strength goes the best way to do it is 10, 8, 6, 4 every time you down set add another 10 to 20 pounds, pick a weight you are comfortable with for your first set but by the end you should be struggling with just 4 reps!. I wouldnt be able to tell you how much is good as long as you feel good bout it, im 5'11 and 175lbs, and bench a max weight of 255 pounds at age 19, just make sure you only max out 1 time a month, the best way to get results is to have a spotter while lifting because they can help you with those extra reps, and push your body!. as a rule of thumb you should be able to bench your own weight 20 times!. Once you can do that add 20 pounds and repeat i'd say 220 is a good max at 175!. NO double your weight is dumb!. I guarentee the average person cannot do 340!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
250 would be a good goal to start with

guys cmon in college i weighed about 230 and i maxed out at 417 chill out its very possible if you just work hard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
