Shyness is usually caused by a fear of rejection!.
So, If you think you care about what someone thinks of you, You will worry even more, And this only adds to your concern!.
First, If you 'try' to slow down a little, Take your time, And If you make them feel good they will like you, And if you feel they like you, You will become more relaxed!.
Okay, How to make people like you,!?
Ask questions, Not like a tax inspector,!
Things like "That a really nice top you are wearing, I bet it cost a bundle,!? (let them answer,) It looks really classy, And i think it really suits you!."
Find something you really like about the person then 'Take your time' and think of something nice to say, and or a harmless question!.
Where abouts do you live,!?
Is it a nice area,!? Or,
Oh! i have a friend who lives near you, They tell me it's!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Whatever (nice things,) you know about the area!.
Remember!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.People LOVE to talk about themself, So
Also it's much better to ask a question that require an answer that is not, Yes Or No!. (this is called a closed question!.)
ie!. "Are you from around here,!? Yes!. (Or No)
It is always beter to ask an 'Open question'
ie!. "what do you like to do when you are not at home,!? (or at work!.)
Then ALLWAYS take an interest in their answer,
REALLY,!? And why do you like that,!? (WOW! i always wanted to do that, I bet it's Great!.!)
Try it on your family and people that you are comfortable with, Then you wont be stressed out so much around new people!.
By the way, I used to be very shy when i was younger, But now i am a marketing specialist and have trained hundreds of salespeople, And dozens of salesmanagers!.

Try to smile a lot and make sure your body language is "open" (arms and legs turned out)!. If you cross your arms or legs you can appear to be negative!.

What I do to break the ice is try to find something in common with the other person!. It could be something as superficial as you liking the same drink they are having, just try to find something in common and you can go from there!.

Smiling is very important because it makes you look confident and friendly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

like any other phobia or fear, he only way to oversome it is to face it head on!.

the radical way is to join a gym to exercise daily!. go there, change into your exercise gear, do the routines then head for the shower!. Amazing how fast one loses one's shyness when wandering naked in the locker room!. And even faster if you strike up some casual conversation while exercising or showering!.

Of course a less radical way is to join a group for any interest or hobbgy you have, get on the company bowling or similar league, go to church even!. All places where people congregate to share some common interest!. And when you get there open your mouth and say hi!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop doing things that separate you from others (computer, reading!.!.!.even masturbating) try not doing activities for just one person that can make you more introveted and even selfish!. A teacher once told me "shyness is selfishness, no one is focused on you but you"

Also try looking at things realistically!. No one is going to laugh or look at you weird if you have a speech problem or walk funny this isn't second grade and everyone is different!.!.!. it's okay if you aren't the social "norm" who cares!.

You reduce shyness with confidence!. Put your self into the situations where you feel shy, over time as you realize theres nothing to feel shy about, or as you become accustomed to these situations, you will become less shy!.

Stop giving a damn about what people think!. Look, it's ok to care about what people think of you but just dont worry about it!. Thats the key!. You would be surprised to know that people aren't worrying about you so much as you think!. You are a human being worthy of the same respect as other human beings!. Seriously though, that really can help you!. Since I've been with my boyfriend I'm not as shy as I used to be!. I still am shy but it's a slow process!. These things take time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

join an acting club!. get a job with team work!. get in a band!.
