Which builds more muscles in your legs, running or cycling?!


Question: Which builds more muscles in your legs, running or cycling!?
I'm talking about the quads and mainly the calves!.
What's better to get bigger calves and muscular quads, running or cycling!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Running tones the muscles, biking makes them larger, especially the glutes and calves!. Mashing the big gears quickens the process!. I love a 60 / 12 gear ratio for downhills!.

it depends on if its a stationary bike, where you are biking and running!.!.!. because different muscles are used depending on the type you are doing!. quads is mainly bike i'd say, calfs are more or less running!. but its really a toss up depending on what you are doing!. go for a run, see whats sore, go for a ride see whats sore!. and those are the muscles you are building!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My guess is running!. With cycling, your receiving help from the bike and it cause less resistance then your foot hitting the pavement/treadmill!. I once heard that one mile running is equivalent to five miles on a bike!. But whatever your comfortable with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cycling, As there is more resistance continually, Also there is no impact stress that you get with running!.
But i must agree if you want to bulk-up your leg muscles there are more efficient methods, As mentioned before squats etc etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with rockford, squats & lunges will do it for you, plus take less time!. Do them before bed till your legs are drained!. out of the running/biking though, i would say biking, you use muscles you dont use when walkingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would go with the classic weight lifting exercises like squats, leg press, leg extensions and calf raises!. Running and cycling will get you really hard and cut but not really make you much bigger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mostly running, as said before it's worked harder compared to the bike which may not put as much pressure on your muscles, I'm going to go with running!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
