Question: Im having trouble getting an erection after pelvic fractures and torn urethra!.!?
I was in a car wreck, I was a passenger and the car hit a tree on my side, I was basically squeezed at my pelvic area!. I have multiple fractures in my pelvic and a torn urethra!. It's been 4!.5 weeks since the wreck and yesterday I got my catheter removed (which hurts when removed) because my urethra finally healed and I was hoping to make up for some lost time with my wife!. Things didn't go as planned, it took forever to get somewhat erect, it was hard to maintain and today we tried everything and nothing is happening!. I'm going back to the Doc!. Friday and I'll let him know, but in the mean time, does anyone know whats going on!? Will I be ok!? Am I rushing!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

With the type of injury that you've gone through!. It will likely be 8 - 12 weeks before you are able to be sexually active again!. You went through a lot down there!.
Plus I will easily guess you are still taking medications for this injury!? These too will play a part in this!.
So the 8 - 12 weeks could even be longer pending what types of medication you are on!.
Plus you now have added the anxiety of "not being able too", to the already existing injury!. Anxiety also plays a part on this!.
The best advice is take it easy and allow your body to heal - this takes time!.
Talk with your doctor - but odds are he'll say basically the same thing!.
As for the "lost time" - that time is gone - you cannot "make up for it" - you can move forward and make the coming times even better for the both of you <-- No not corny or silly - just reality!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably just need longer to heal!. It could be a case of erectile dysfunction due to the injury, however your doctor is the best person to discuss this with!.
Personally it seems like you would need more than 4!.5 weeks to heal from something like that before sexual activity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
