Question: How long after having a cystoscopy can I masturbate!?
(I'm a male, and had one today)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
According to a web site for a urologic practice, there should be no sexual intercourse for 24-48 hours!. I suspect this also means no masturbation!.

From that web page:

HERE ARE A FEW REMINDERS FOR YOU TO HAVE, AFTER YOU LEAVE OUR OFFICE:

* You may have temporary burning or blood spotting when you urinate during the first 24-36 hours following your procedure!.
* Drink 6 glasses of liquids (4 glasses should be water), to help relieve any slight burning or urgency!. DO THIS IN THE FIRST 12-24 HOURS FOLLOWING YOUR PROCEDURE!.
* A warm tub bath following your procedure will help relieve any discomfort!. DO NOT PUT ANY BATH OILS OR CRYSTALS IN THE WATER!.
* Avoid sexual intercourse for 24-48 hours after your procedure!. IF you have any specific questions about this, please ask your doctor before leaving our office!.
* After cystoscopy, you may have the sensation of "air" passing from your bladder during the first few hours following your procedure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If there was no problem inside the bladder when they put the cystoscope inside and there is no longer any stinging feeling when you urinate, you should be OK to masturbate!. If it still feels sore then leave it for a few days!. If they used gel to slide the cystoscope inside your penis then you shouldn't be too sore!.

It really depends on where the cyst was and how deep it was!.

Last summer I had an abscess drained from the shaft my penis, which was so deep it blocked urine flow!. I wanted nothing to do with sex or masturbation for a week!. So that's one extreme!.

If it was a scrotal cyst, on the other hand -- you probably take a whack at it (uh, so to speak!) tomorrow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would wait till it feels comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
