For the most part, are condoms really 100% reliable?!

Question: For the most part, are condoms really 100% reliable!?
Now I never had sex because I don't want kids ever in my life and I don't want to get a girl pregnant!.

Since doctors are so narrow-minded on having young childfree men (18-25) permanantly sterilized, would condoms be the best option for a young man!?

Also, why are doctors so concerned on the man's life!? Its his life, not theirs right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
condoms are definitely the best bet, not least because they also protect against STDs

i think failure rate is about 1-10%

less with spermicide

if used correctly failure rate is lower (about 1-5%)

most condom manufacturers and doctors do not recommend using two condoms at once as friction between the two may make them more likely to break

durex extra-strength

if you want to be really careful use with other contraceptive methods e!.g!. birth control pill, diaphragm

doctors are so concerned because some people change their minds later > i know, it sucks > i haven't changed my mind in the last ten years but they still won't do meWww@Answer-Health@Com

Condoms are not 100% affective, and if used improperly their effectiveness goes down!.

I had a friend in college who got pregnant because her boyfriend went limp inside her after completing the act, leaving the condom inside her as he pulled out!.

To prevent pregnancy and STD's, talk to your gf about options!. A condom used with the pill or a vaginal spermicide is more effective than condom alone!. However, nothing beats the condom (other than not touching) for preventing STD's!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1) Kudos to you for taking control of your reproduction!. Too many men don't!.

2) Typical condom usage is about 85% effective!. If used perfectly, we get into the high 90s, but no one is perfect!.
Always use a backup -- The pill is good!.

3) Most men do start wanting children as they get older!. Doctors are reluctant to close a door that they can't reopen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Condoms are not 100% effective, nothing is!. If you're really concerned, double up on birth control methods-- meaning condom and spermicide, or condol and the pill, or condom and pull out, etc!. I don't mean use 2 condoms!. I think doctors don't want to perform those procedures because soo many people change their mind and they just want to cover their own ***!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

condoms are 95%-97% reliable!.

A doctor is looking out for himself so he doesn't get sued!.

You could go in for a vasectomy and it would be possible to have that procedure reversed if you ever do decide to have children!.

Sterilizing is a different procedure and most doctors won't do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Condoms are 95% reliable but they can break if they are put on incorrectly, or past the expiration date!. So if you want to be careful, then wear two, one over the other!. That will be 100% safe, and it dulls sensation in you're penis which allows your partner more pleasure before you release yourself!. Use a condom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with Ashley - nothing is 100%, besides absinance!.

And doc's aren't really narrow minded, it is just that if you change your mind later, it is a hard thing to reverse!. I have a friend who at the time of her 3rd child's birth decided that she never wanted more children!. She was 24 - the doctor agreed to burn her tubes, not just tie them, and what do you know!? Later, she wanted another and couldn't have one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's an oxymoron!. " For the most part" , means there is a smaller part that is different !. 100% means all identical !.

To answer your question , no they have been known to rupture or leak !. If you want to be sure you'll never get a girl pregnant -- - - - - forget sex , so simple !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Comdoms when used correctly are about 98% effective!. Its best to use one with a spermicidal lubricant!. for a little extra protection my wife and I put some spermicidal jelly that is used with a diaphragm in the end of comdom before I put it on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, they're never 100% effecitve but their around 98%!. However, the chances of a condom not working are very slim as long as there isn't a hole in it and you do not double up (put two condoms on)!. I would say trojans!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If used perfectly, they're about 99% effective, but typical use puts it at about 89% I think!.

And latex is more effective than sheepskin!.

EDIT: whoa, 1 in 4 condoms fail!?!!?! Where is the statistic for that!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only birth control that's 100% reliable is abstinence/not having any sex!. Condoms are a good option for both men and women, but both parties must still use some precautions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NOTHING is ever reliable!.!.!.!.there are preventative measures but nothing is ever 100% safe!. But if you are that adament about not ever having kids, maybe you should also never have sex!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing, I mean Nothing is 100% reliable!. Safety first, just be cautious!Www@Answer-Health@Com

When used correctly , 99% reliableWww@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing is 100% effective!.!.!.

get a condom with spemicide, that might increase the protection!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just have someone kick you in the balls really hard so you become sterile and you will never have to worry about kids again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

condoms are not 100% reliable at all!. The girl your with should be on birth control, and you should use condoms if you want to be 99!.9999% sureWww@Answer-Health@Com

not 100 %, could still come out of the top, get the pill, but condoms do work about 80% wellWww@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing is 100% especially a condom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have a vasectomyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Durex and if you never want kids, take a vasectomyWww@Answer-Health@Com

should i really answer that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The one major point of sex is for to create new life!. You shouldn't have it just to be fooling around or not to show true love to someone!. 1 in 4 condoms fail!. Trust me, it is true!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
