Question: Vertical Jump/Dunking a Basketball!?
I am looking to be able to dunk a basketball with ease!. I am 6 foot 1 inch and can already dunk, but rather inconsistently!. I was wondering what things I can do to increase my vertical jumpWww@Answer-Health@Com

The basic idea is to increase your calf and thigh muscles whilst becoming more flexible in that region!. Helpful exercises include jumping on a trampoline, skipping, calf/thigh stretches routinely, squats, running, and calf pushs (pushing a weight up by standing on tippy-toes) and most importantly, practice!. I tried all of this (with great exhaustion) for three weeks and increased my jump by 12 cm! And believe me, once you can jump higher, dunking isnt the only thing that vastly improves with your game!. When I played our coach had us do early drills and sprinting in ankle weights!. We would only wear them for about the first twenty minutes of practice!. I was dunking fairly well!. I'm only 6 ft tall and I am white!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
