I might be getting circumcised... Help?!?!

Question: I might be getting circumcised!.!.!. Help!?!!?
Okay, so in a couple of months or so, I MAY be getting circumcised!.!.!. It's because I can't retract my foreskin when erect (phimosis)!. Yes, I already know about stretching, steroid cream, blah blah blahh!. I'm working on it hard every day, trust me!. I do NOT need any information on that, so please don't bother posting me a paragraph yawner telling me about how circumcision will completely ruin my life, I'll kill myself for doing it, etc!.

What I want to know is how bad are the side effects of circumcision!?

I've read some similar questions on this and the answers are kinda mixed, but it's really hard to find a good answer on here that isn't completely stupid or biased!.!. I don't know who to believe!.

Like, some people say that you lose a LOT of sensitivity!. How can that be possible if 1/4 of the world has it with no problems!?

I know you can lose sensitivity, that's fine with me, but I didn't think it would be THAT bad!.!.!. Will I still be able to enjoy sex if I have it done!? Is the loss of sensitivity that damn bad!?

Any information on this is appreciated!

I'm 15 by the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, most people in that 1/4th have never experienced both intact and circumcised since they were cut at birth!. And those cut as adults, probably had some sort of problem with their foreskin that needed circumcision, so it can be hard to find a good first hand experience, and even if you did, being cut as an adult is different then as a child (15+ years of the head being exposed and building up resistance)!.

All that said, circed guys can still enjoy sex and masturbation, some are affected more drastically, but that is probably more common in infant circs!. Pleasure might not be as good as being intact, but if you are unable to successfully use stretching (and whatever else is recommended) and want to circ, I dont think the difference is large enough to be afraid of it!. However, I would make sure that you give stretching a FULL chance to work!.!.!. you wouldn't want to regret it later!.

One recommendation I have is if you do have to circ, then get one that leaves you with more skin, sometimes they only have to partially remove the foreskin!. Part of the problem with circumcision is that the skin is mostly immobile, so masturbation is more difficult since you either use lotion or you simply ejaculate!.!.!. meaning it feels good, but no where near what stimulating the head would feel like!. Tighter skin also affects women by drying them out faster requiring more lube!. Having extra skin would allow you to still masturbate without lotion and reduce the rawing friction and drying out of women during sex!.

EDIT: A response below mentioned "you will last longer", but that can be achieved by much less extreme means that removing part of your body!.!.!.!. and perhaps MORE important is that even if you do last longer, you will NEED to last longer because of how sex affects the woman I mentioned above!.!.

Also, just like the conflicted medical studies, there are conflicted sensitivity studies!. Show me one side and I will show you another!. But removing a large section of specialized skin and expecting no difference is just tricking yourself!.

Donna, an interesting thing you said, "you are quite capable to decide for yourself!.", but then you say "I'd have had you done as a baby"!.!.!. why!? He is making this decision because he HAS a medical issue!. Most dont!.!.!. getting it done before something is wrong is taking that choice he is fully capable of making when he is older, away from him!. Sure circ will hurt, but it always will, and remembering you experienced pain is nothing compared to actually feeling it, infants get little or no pain meds, during AND after!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A responsible surgeon won't do this if you haven't completed the other forms of treatment, and at 15 you'll need your guardian's permission!.

That aside, obviously you can still have sex!. 20% of the men in the world, including all Muslims and a high percentage of Jews, are circumcised!.

You'll need to use lube to masterbate; you will lose sensitivity, and a small percentage of adults have circumcision find they can't ejaculate during regular vaginal intercourse - they have to finish off by hand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay dude My buddie got it done he told me that the next day after the cut while your sleeping at night you still get the night time erections well just after the cut and the stiches are in place you get a woodie he said it was a painful way to get woken up!. He said they layed him on the table put his legs in sturrups the doctor came at him with a needle and injected his unit with a local anesthesa then start cutting and stichen away!.

Had it done at 23:what a relief, before that sex was always like torture!.Thus no fun at all!.
After the surgery count on about 2-3 weeks of healing time!.
After that you are good to go again and way better!.
Due to the constant friction with the head and clothes you will loose a bit of sensitivity, but that means too, that you will last longer!.
I am very happy that it has been done, never regretted it!.

James:
Congratulations for your positive thoughts about MAYBE getting circumcised!. If you choose to proceed you will be better off in my personal view!.

I am a little nervous, as a woman, to be reponding as you are quite capable to decide for yourself!. Maybe it is the 'mother in me' but if you were my son I'd be arranging your circ (actually I'd have had you done as a baby)

When I was much younger I helped my Mom when my little brother got circumcised!. I acknowledge that he was not a 'happy camper' at the time but once he healed up and was getting used to it he said it was much better!.

He is an adult now and we have discussed it at some length!. He claims he never lost any significant amount of sensitivity, it is just that he is so used to the sensation of his bare glans rubbing on underwaer or bedcloths that he no longer notices it!.

I read a recent study from McGill University where it was proven that circumcised guys are just as sensitive as uncut guys!.

Hope this helps and best wishes as you proceed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Dude, i had a foreskin for 39 yrs, gave me nothing but trouble, split on a lot of occasions resulting in being bloody painful, the best advice i can offer is to get circumcised, i did, mainly for medical reasons!. Losing sensitivity!.!.!.not all together true, yes you do lose some, but not enough to worry about!. Enjoying sex!? Weh-hay!, had better sex since i`ve been done, wished it was done at birth, also, it`s a lot more cleaner in the trouser department - no `Bell end Blues`, the only downside is your a bit tender & sore until you have healed up, couple2/3 weeks, & i think that women prefer men who have had it done, again you tend to stay cleaner & sex can last longer!. That`s my opinion anyway, hope it helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
