Is it possible for someone to become shorter?!

Question: Is it possible for someone to become shorter!?
I am 16 and a half!. Last year the doctor measured me, and I was 5'9"!. Now in my recent visit I am 5'8!.5"!. So basically, I think I shrank a half inch!. Is that possible for a healthy young man!? Or am I not as healthy as I thought!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ohhh!! I think I know what your trying to describe!.
Maybe you were measured in the morning the first time!.
And the second time you were measured in the afternoon!.
In the morning believe it or not, you are one inch taller than you were the night before!.

Why you may ask!? Gravity!.
Later in the day!.!.!. you "shrink" when your spine is compressed down and you get 1 inch or 1/2 shorter!.

I hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

height measurements are never 100% accurate when the human eye is doing the measurement!. also the time of day can affect your height as the day progresses your more likely do be more slouched even though you might not think you are!. the spine can become slightly compressed due to the weight and having to hold up your body!. dont panic your not shrinkingWww@Answer-Health@Com

No, the first doctor rounded up, or one of them measured incorrectly!. You will shrink a little, when you are old, and no longer stand up as straight!. But at 16 no, you are still growing, you still have stong muscles, you did not shrink!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

iF THAT GRAVITY THING IS TRUE!?WOULDN'T BUILDINGS GET SHORTER EVERY DAY!?
WHAT A BULL!.
YOUR DOC MEASUREDYOU WRONG THE FIRST TIME AND LIKE YOU SAID YOU HAD BIG HAIR!.
AND WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL HERE!.

Maybe one of the doctors measured wrong!. It's fairly common in elderly women due to osteoporosis; i highly doubt it's anything to worry about in your case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol!.!.!. it's impossible 2 shrink in size (u can get shorter with age as u start 2 hunch n stuff)

It's a measurement error that's allWww@Answer-Health@Com

With age the cushioning between our disks becomes thinner and we do 'shrink'!. At 16, I don't think that would be an issue!. Perhaps the original 5'9" measurement was off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes its actually possible!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.its because of the loss of something in the bone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most times it happens in your older years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You were probably measured wrong one of those times!. Don't worry about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's not suppose to happen unless you have a problem or soemthing!. i think you didn't measure right or something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe u have a hunch !.!.!.u know where ur back bends a little!.!.if not then i dont really know!.!.!.but i dont think its a big deal!.!.!.!.the doctor didnt seem puzzled so dont worryWww@Answer-Health@Com
