My face feels sort of dry and weird after shaving?!
Question: My face feels sort of dry and weird after shaving!?
By 'weird' I mean it hurts when I stretch my mouth!. Also when I touch my upper lip it feels really dry and sort of 'gummy' feeling!. Is this normal!? Is there anything to do to help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
You may be shaving too close!. That can cause some irritation on the face!. I recommend doing all downstrokes instead of upstrokes because the upstrokes on a razor is what gets to your skin closely!.
Also, the product you're using may not be right for you!. Try using a different shaving cream or another lather-type product!. If you're using something like Gillette or Edge, those two are extremely loaded with chemicals that can irritate your face after a close shave, so be careful!.
Good luck ;)

pre-shave - moisturize (oil preferably) the night before with some kind of facial creme/lotion!. while showering allow the steam from the shower to moisten the skin!.
shaving - use a shaving cream or soap!. don't shave dry!. use a lubricant!. don't go against the grain or try to remove a layer of epiderim!.
post-shave - apply Essential oil of Lavender neat (without carrier oil)!. let air-dry!. apply jojoba oil!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dehydration and possibly sensitive skin!. That sticky may be the lubricant strip on the razor!. Rinse your face, and use a sensitive skin aftershave or lotion!.
Nivea for Men has a line of sensitive skin products which you can get almost anywhere -- drug stores, Target/Walmart, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I sort of agree with Lamar!. Pre shave, aloe type shaving cream & moisturizing after shave!. Get a dermatologist on line & see if you can get some recommendations!. My thought is you are not rinsing well enough after shaving or using an electric shaver!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
