I wanna get in shape over the summer season!.!.!. i guess i just really want abs, arms , and maybe tighten my legs again!.!.!.

It depends on where you're at now, and where you want to get to!.
If you're skinny:
-Eat a lot of protein and carbs!. Try to eat what would traditionally be considered "healthy" food (whole-wheat bread, lots of chicken, fruits, vegetables) and avoid junk food!. Lift weights!. If you can do more than 12 reps of one exercise, you're not lifting enough weight!. Try starting out lifting 3 times a week!. Look up some lifting routines and try to find ones that emphasizes the major muscle groups (things like bench press, squats, abs)!. Drink lots of water!.
If you're overweight: Focus on cardio!. To start out the weight lifting isn't really even necesary!. Buy a good pair of running shoes and start a running program!. Read about "distance running" and "interval running" and decide which one you would rather do!. Maybe just start running 2-3 miles a day, monday, wednesday, friday!. Be very careful what you eat!. Don't eat fast food, or lots of beef!. Eat reasonable portions of whole-wheat bread, chicken, fruits, uncooked vegetables!. Drink lots of water!.
