Why does hair grow faster when you shave it?!

Question: Why does hair grow faster when you shave it!?
Answers:
IT DOES NOT!. This is a common myth and I am a medical doctor in training and can scientifically tell you it is not true!. It simply makes hair appear healthier and therefore it may look longer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesnt' make your hair grow faster!. New growth is just more noticable because you're watching it appear from a "clean slate!."

Hair growth begins in the folicle, way underneath the skin, so doing anything physical to the surface of your face wont affect growth!.

Cutting hairs might also make hair appear thicker because the blade is cutting hair at a blunt angle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't, that is simply an old wive's tale or idiot's tale!. Shaving doesn't massage the skin any more than rubbing it with your hand would!. It may appear to grow faster, but in scientific tests that wasted our tax dollars for something as stupid as this, there was no change in hair grow speed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is just a myth!. no one has ever proved this to be a fact!. it only appears to be thicker b/c u shaved it off and are watching it grow back!. it also doesn't grow faster!. ppl think this b/c one day ur bald w/e u shaved and the next i see hair!. it is faster than plucking and waxing b/c those two get the hair that is slightly below the skin!. shaving only gets the surface of the hair!. the only thing that possibly results from any hair removal is it grows back a little darker!. but still is nothing to noticeable!. but yea it will seem to be a big difference with all of these things if u are observing it everyday and u believe myths!. good luck and i hope i helped!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because it massages the skin and increases blood flow to the area!. Also shaving gives a more definitive marker for seeing the growth that you wouldn't otherwise have had!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it actaully doesnt!. that is a rumor because boys going through puberty shave of there peach fuzz and it gets thicker everytime so they think its because of the shaving!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sorry, but i think you got 'hair' confused with 'shrubberies'!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's not true, the DNA dictates how fast or slow your hair grows, so cutting it won't alter the DNAWww@Answer-Health@Com

it doesn't!. there is actually no proven fact that it does, it just seems like it!.feel free to email me with any questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
