Abnormal EKG results in a 29 year old male?!
Question: Abnormal EKG results in a 29 year old male!?
My husband went to the doctor, for what I was pretty sure was sleep apnea!. The doctor did an EKG and got abnormal results!. Now my husband has an ECHO set up in a couple of days!. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what this could mean!? Any answers are greatly appriciated! We are both kinda freaking out!

I think you and your husband are the luckiest people in the world!. Men who have sleep apnea often die in their sleep from heart attacks and strokes!. The abnormal EKG basically tells the physician that some thing appears wrong with the heart!. Since the EKG measures the electrical impulses, it can only tell the physician part of the hearts condition!.
The ECHO will tell you much more precisely what is going on with the heart!.
You have ever right to be concerned!. A healthy 29 year old male should not have cardiac problems but it sound like you are doing the right thing and the ECHO will confirm if there is some thing wrong or as is often the case there may be nothing wrong with the heart since an EKG is not always correct!.
