Christianity hasn't regarded masturbation as a "sin" in some time!. It's just a normal, healthy response to your hormones trying to get you to have sex and make babies!. I think these days rather than saying it's OK, the church realistically just ignores it as inconsequential!. Your particular church and pastor may have a different view, of course, but if masturbating was really a sin, Heaven would be completely empty!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is really healthy!. Define what you mean by Christian!. If you just mean Christ follower than all the people from the mainstream churches are going to tell you its fine -- because that is the mainstream view!. If you are ONLY looking for select Christians from fundamentalist churches however, you are going to get more negative answers!.
Speaking only for mainstream Christians -- no its not a sin, its fine, and since it is healthy -- it is a good thing to do regularly!.

Masturbation is not specifically mentioned in the bible so there are some Christians who say that it therefore is NOT a sin!.
I believe that masturbation is natural and a normal way for people - whether they are christian or not - to relieve sexual urges!. Especially while they are not in a sexual relationship!.

We are made in God's image, and he gave us all the parts of our body!.
Some to work like heart etc and some for pleasure!.
If we where not meant to use them, then why did God make them!.
He must have a great seance of humour, and very broard shoulders!.
Done in the privacy of your own room/ bath etc!.

Check your denomination first!. If you're Catholic or Orthodox, then "yes"!. Masturbation, sex with a condom, oral sex, homosexuality or anything that does not equate to penis+vagina=babies is a sin in the eyes of these denominations!. If you're Protestant, then the answer in all likeliness is "no"!. Most protestant denominations either have no position on masturbation or accept it!. From a bible thumping standpoint of is it a sin or not!?
Basically the Catholic Church looks at everything black and white!. If it is against God's will its a sin!. God's purpose for sex is to procreate therefore anything outside of a man and a woman having sex for the purpose of having a child would be considered a sin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not really sure, seeing as though the parts I've read on sexual immorality has nothing to do with masturbation, only not having sexual intercourse before marriage!. I'm assuming it won't be bad because it decreases hormonal needs and will help you produce sperm!. Pray on it and see what feelings you get!.
