Is it possible to have growth spurts/or shrink later in life??!

Question: Is it possible to have growth spurts/or shrink later in life!?!?
Ok, I am now 34!. I stand 6'1", weigh 225-230!. I used to be about 6'2" and 205-215!. When I was about 28, my foot went from a 10!.5 to an 11!.5 ( some brands a 12), and my waist went from 36 to 38!. I have always had to have relaxed fit jeans, and swear I dont have anymore bodyfat than I ever did!. Can still see a hint of a 6 pack just like in high school!.!.!.!.!.but I am shorter, wider, and heavier!. Someone told me it was because as you age, your bones weaken and as a result, your foot widens, shoulders slump a little, and the waist widens out!. Your spine also compresses causing a reduction in height!.!.!.!.!.is this possible!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your foot's arch does collapse over time because of height and weight, which will lengthen your foot!. (You're a big guy, so that's normal!.) Your skeleton does settle with age and your spine can hunch over a little, too, and that can make you shorter!. I don't know about the waist, though!. I think your metabolism's just slowing down with age and you're gaining weight!. Also, you probably don't move as much as you did ten years ago!. (No shame in that!. Happens to everyone!) Don't know how much you eat, but your diet will have to adjust over time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, people 'shrink' as they age!. You've got 32 vertebrae stacked one upon the other in an S-shaped curve!. With time and gravity, you become shorter not only because there's less elasticity in the soft tissue but because the S-shape of the curve becomes more accentuated!.

This 'shortening' of the spine IS avoidable and reversible to some degree!. Feldenkais movement 'exercises' are good for the spine!. So is Pilates!. There are other things, too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea, the height you lose from age is due to your spine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
