My son is 14 months now and his testes still haven't dropped!. Doc says it is caused from a blockage but it could come down on its own but they gave him up until he is two and then they will try treatments and at the most surgery!. Answers:
My son's testes descended after birth then retracted back into him!. Our doctor told us to have it corrected before he was 5 years old!. We had it corrected when he was 4!. He turned 18 last Dec!. and has had no other problems with this!.

It was nearly 15 years ago that our family experienced this!. Doctors' attitudes may have changed since then!. I feel the difference in our being told 5 years old and you being told 2 years old is significant!. I suggest you seek a second opinion, and possible a third if the second opinion is drastically different from the first!.

You still have plenty of time to decide what to do!. Please give his body every opportunity to correct itself before doing surgery!. Good luck with this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Very common!. I would do some research into this and see if you can get them to do surgery earlier if your comforatable with it!.

The longer the testies stay up there, the greater the chance of testicular cancer and infertility later in life!.

Just make sure your doctor and you are on the same page and everything should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take your doctor's advice!. This isn't a serious problem until he's much older!. They may drop much later - and the doctor can deal with it once he is 2 or 3!.

I don't know where the guy got the idea that testicular cancer is in any way related to this condition - I can't find any medical study showing a link!.

Don't worry - it'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry to hear that!. My baby brother had the same problem when he was younger!. The doctor said the same thing to my mom and well we waited and they dropped before he was two!. But everyone is completely diffrent, and do what you feel best for your son!. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just listen to the DR:he has had hundreds of cases like this!.
And if they do not drop a simple procedure will fix it!.
Not funny, but it ain't the end of the world either
