Why does my height keep coming back to haunt me?!
Question: Why does my height keep coming back to haunt me!?
I'm 5'7 and 19 years old!. For about a year i got over the height thing and it never bothered me!. Sure, i can live a normal life (to an extent), but it always seems like my quality of life is diminished!. I'm SOO lucky i was born with a good face so girls haven't been an overly huge problem (although im restricted to short ones)!. Otherwise im guessing id be screwed in that department!. But when it comes to talking in a group or walking around, being short means i get treated as 2nd class!.
Do other short guys have the same problems!? How do you get over them!?
I don't have short man syndrome or anything like that, but i do get jealous of taller guys!. My dad is 6 ft tall, and uncles 6'1 & 6'2!. I'm like the family runt!. IT SUCKSS!
Even all my friends are 6'1 + , my best friend is 6'5!. I'm so sick of being the tiny dude in the group!. I stick out like a sore thumb!.

The long and short answer is because you let it haunt you!.
Fact is although you are shorter than some people you are not short!. And there are lots of people in the world who are shorter than you are!. The problem is the people closest to you are mostly taller and that gives you a bit of a complex!. So maybe you need to also have friends closer to yoru own height to hang with as well!.
Of course the other side of it is in your mind!. Because you are shorter than some folks, you allow it to give you a feeling of being inadequate in some things!. But if you persist and practice I'll bet you could keep up with (or even beat) them in most all sports and other activities!. It is just a matter of wanting to do well!.
And who says you have to stick with gals shorter than you!. While the norm seems to be the guy taller, there are lots of gals who like dudes with less altitude!. Then again since most gals are shorter than most men, there's probably an ample supply of gals shorter than you are anyway and I'd bet a whoel lot fo them would be fine with you as a bf if your pensonality works for them!.
So, just put your height issues away in the back of he closet and set out to enjoy life by being the best person you can be in all ways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well as long as your father is your Biological father you still have a chance to grow more!.
Our son is adopted and we are five seven and five eight, but after he was about eighteen he grew another three inches!.
So you do still have a chance!.
Bare in mind that there are MANY mid height people that are amazing in appearance and very wealthy!. So height is not much of a limiting factor!. Enthusiasm, energy and brain power are!.
(Look at Tom Cruise, he is only about 5" 5" tall!.) Your problem is you made friends with giants!. Ha Ha! Our friends are our friends no matter their height!. Its just that you are reminded of your height daily because of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 5'4, and 20 years old!. I'm not quite treated as 2nd class, just like a child by some people who think i'm around 14!. I've never been jealous of taller guys but you're right, it does cause a problem when it comes to girlfriends although you don't seem to be having any problems in that department!.
My height is the only thing I will never be able to change so that's how I get over it, just accept yourself for who you are!. Being short doesn't make you any less of a person, never forget that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
