Question: Vasectomy Question!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
My fiance and I don't ever want to have kids!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and we were wondering what the rate of success/failure is of a vasectomy!. What is the procedure like - what is the price range!? What are the side effects!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had mine in 1977!. My last son was born in 1973!. That's how good it was!. Course, my doctor burned the ends of my tubes and cut out 2cm!.
I was given a local anesthesia, had a small incision made on my scrotum!. The tubes were pulled out of the incision, cut and burned and placed back in with, I believe, 1 stitch!. I went home (Friday), laid on the couch with an ice pack in my groin all afternoon, went to bed that night!. A bit sensitive, but not sore!. Got up Saturday, went to my in-laws for a cook out!. Went to church Sunday, home for the rest of the day!. Monday went back to work to my desk job (mostly)!. Thirty days later, I was declared incapable of impregnating any women!.
In 1977, the cost was $200 (which included any further care if complications arose!.!.!.which didn't)!. I don't know of today's cost!.
MOST doctors may be hesitant if you don't have children yet!. Reversal is not always successful!. I would suggest doing some deep research into the procedure before proceeding!. I actually had no questions for the doc when my wife and I went for the interview!. At that time, Virginia required 30 days of waiting after the initial interview before the procedure is performed!.
I'm 61 and can still get my lady to yell YAHOOO (no pun intended)! So, it never affected our love making!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The surgery is not all that bad they just make 2 small incisions in his scrotum and tie off the vas deferens!. There could be some sperm still alive and able to get out for a little while after the procedure but after that it is safe!. Well it's as safe as getting your tubes tied as far as getting pregnant goes!. The good thing is in most cases if you all ever change your mind the procedure can be reversed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Mine cost about $800!. If you follow all the directions that doctor gives you then there is really no problem!. Guys run into problems mainly when they try to tough it out instead of letting it heal!. I used it as a great excuse to just lay around and do nothing for 4 days!. Then had to take it easy for another 6 or so!. They will check it after 6 weeks and then 3 months!. It has a very high success rate but there are circumstances that can come up that may require another one!.
