Lifting weights and eating?!

Question: Lifting weights and eating!?
I am 14 and lift weights!. I am just wondering what is the best things to eat right after and before a workout to help my muscles get bigger (but not a shake of some kind, a actual food)!. I also want to know what is a good food that is pretty inexpensive and easy to make that would be good to eat or drink right after a workout or during my resting days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
you're not going to like me saying this, but you really shouldn't be lifting weights before you're 16 at least, because you will stunt your growth, however, the answer to your question is that you should eat anything which is high in protein within 30 minutes of your workout!.

e!.g!. chicken
cottage cheese
milk
yoghurt
eggs (cooked/raw)
shakes are better because your body can assimilate the protein in them easier!.

about an hour after your workout, you should maybe have a ball of ice-cream or something else sweet, because it will spike your insulin, making you less likely to lose muscle!.

before your workout, make sure you have a mix of protein and carbohydrate - like a chicken sandwich on wholemeal bread - about an hour before!.

make sure you drink plenty of water in general - especially during your workout!.

that's about it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well for starters lifting heavy weights before adulthood can stunt your bone growth!. Protein is a body-building food, so keep your bones strong and build your body up by drinking MILK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
