Yes!. You probably know other kids who have accidentally swallowed a piece of gum at least once-and we are pretty sure it isn't hanging around in their tummies for years! According to kidshealth!.org, although your stomach can't break down gum and it's ingredients (either natural or synthetic materials, preservatives, flavoring, and sweeteners)the same way it breaks down other food, your digestive system can definitely move it along through intestinal activity!. In other words, it comes out the other end when you poop! However this doesn't mean it is a good idea to swallow chewed gum every single time!. There are still really rare cases when a piece of gum can cause problems in your digestive system!. It is still so much safer to just spit it out and throw it away-and come on, how hard would that be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
haha, no its not, people say that it takes 7 years to digest, but the truth is it actually digest just like everything else, now swallowing it excessively can cause some build up in the intestines but the acids in your body will break it down, and it wont ever harm you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
