Because anything you say, can and will be used against you!.
Someone once didn't like my answer to a question, so they looked through my answers until they found something embarassing, then used it against me in they're answer!.
Also, if you've asked a question that gives a little information about yourself, then some one can use that information in their answer to hurt you!.
And, John N nailed it!. Your more likely to have a long living account if you have everything turned off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because trolls on here cause problems and cause you to get suspended!.
Edit: yes, I had another account and was just about to level 7 when it was suspended! a troll is someone who (for whatever reason) reports you and gets you suspended!. And they're lurking everywhere!.

We've been here long enough to have found out that a lot of people will contact us (higher percentage of chance of contact with increasing number of answers) if they can read our answers!. Some of us are here to give and receive information, not solely as a social network!.
I happend to have a lot of knowledge in the health field, particularly sexual health!. When I left my Q & A visible to the public, teen boys were sending me email frequently!. I am not interested in this!. I am here to give and receive information, like I said above!. I'm not trying to be unfriendly -- quite the contrary!. I just don't want horny young guys to think that since I have knowledge in this area, I must have a HUGE libido and want every guy who hits on me!.
