Question: I have bone growth protruding out of the back of my head!. can i get it shaved off!?
hey, i recently went to get a ct scan because of this growth that i have in the back of my head and it turned out to be bone!. it's now protruding enough where it bothers me when i sleep, plus it's kind of ugly looking!. i was hoping anyone here would be able to know if i there are any procedures out there that would enable me to shave this extra bone down or remove it!. informed answers and/or links would do wonders, and be greatly appreciated!. thanks!.!.!Www@Answer-Health@Com

what you are referring to is called an osteoectomy "bone removal" and it depends on anatomy of the bone whether or not it could be removed
when you got your CT scan what did they tell you!. Is it an external growth or does it grow abnormally on the interior of your skull and are there any nerves or blood vessels within it!.
it might be connected to a suture as well(bone where your skull bones join) and in that case it might be risky
Insurance might not cover the removal of a superficial growth unless you could get them to agree it was disturbing your sleep
