Soreness at injection site...?!
Question: Soreness at injection site!.!.!.!?
I'm on the Depo shot and after every injection my upper arm is considerabley sore and slightly swollen for the next few days!. Does anyone know scientifically what causes soreness at injection sites!? Not only for Depo, but for any time of injection!. I've done some searching online and can't seem to find a definite answer!. Any doctors, nurses, studying students, scientists or just someone out there who knows that can answer this for me!? Does the fluid cause some sort of tissue damage!? when i get a sore arm and shoulder from a tetanus shot, my mom (who's a nurse) explained that it was because the needle pierces the muscle, therefore making it sore!.
i was advised to taken some painkillers and constantly massage it and exercise the arm (like doing arm circles)!. the soreness should last no more than two days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
