Okay, a fishy smell could result from any one of many things!.

It could be a very mild yeast infection!. In this case, eating yogurt and drinking cranberry juice should help!. Even if it's not an infection, the smell could result from an unhealthy diet!. Sometimes the food we eat will make our bodies smell a certain way!. So a healthy and balanced diet might make a difference!.

Another thing, it's not generally a good idea to wash the area too much!. Irritations can cause a weird smell!. Once a day is enough, and just wash the area like any other part of the body!. What might help throughout the day is pulling back the foreskin every time he pees!. That way, urine won't get trapped under the foreskin which sometimes makes it smell!.

Perhaps an important thing is the soap he uses on the area!. This might sound counter-intuitive, but don't use an anti-bacterial soap and don't use scented soaps!. Those tend to be too strong and harsh on the area!. This can kill the good microbes that keep the bad ones in check - the ones that cause the smell!. Use a mild and scentless soap!. That often helps a lot!.

Lastly, it might not be a great idea to have the place be too dry for too long, as that can sometimes cause irritations too!. I hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is normal for an uncircumcised penis!. You say he does not have smegma but it would be abnormal if he didn't!. It can be cleaned and although no trace of it can be seen it is still there!. The head of an uncircumcised penis is enclosed like a foot inside of a pair of socks!. Sooner or later they begin to smell for being couped up in a hot enclosed space!.
Just as vaginal odor cannot easily be masked by any amount of washing or deodorizing the uncircumcised penis is much the same way!. Some of the smell may come from dried urine!. As much as you might like going down on him and pleasing him in that way, it might be something that you are not going to be able to do unless he takes drastic measures!. A man circumcised at adult age can often expect an uncomfortable or even painful experience and the healing period can take weeks!.

The fishy odor is from not being circumcized!. In fact when I first saw just your question, before I read the rest, I knew he was not circumcized due to your question!.

I have some male friends who are nor circumcized and they all tell me that no matter how much they wash, they can't get rid of the odor, no matter how faint!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just a guess, but I'm betting that there IS smeg somewhere down there!.

I used to think I was quite clean, too, but an hour after showering, I could smell 'it' again!. Some guys are just fast smeg producers!.

It wasn't until I got cut that the problem went away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When he washes, he needs to use a wash cloth, after soaping down, wet a wash cloth, soap it down, and then scrub down, The whole area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This smell can be due to many factors - what he eats, does he drink enough, does he smoke or drink alcohol, do you have a yeast infection, has he ever been tested for a yeast infection!? I would make an appointmentWww@Answer-Health@Com

I honestly do not understand what may be causing the odors to extent you're describing!. I do understand that after a few hours of having the foreskin covering the glans while while fully clothed during the day, may cause perspiration within the foreskin, and as a result may cause a slight scent of sweaty odor, however, it would not even be slightly close to the extent to which you are referring!.
There could be a hormonal condition that is causing him to have a more acidic perspiration; at the same time, he may be urinating while the foreskin is completely covering the glans, instead of retracting the foreskin to fully expose the glans eliminating the chance for urine to acumulate between the foreskin and the glans!.
How do women keep their vulva from smelling slightly foul after a full day of normal every-day walking around, considering that the lips are usually closed together, creating a perfect atmosphere for acumulation of perspiration, urine and other biological material!?
It's the same for women!. Some women have a high ph than others, and may have a much stronger scent in their "nether" regions than other women, even if they bathe regularly!.
Only a doctor can say what may be causing the odor emitting from your husband's penis!.
I personally am uncircumcised, and have never experienced strong odors emitting from my foreskin or glans area!.
I do practice very good hygiene, retract the foreskin when I urinate to avoid accumulation of urine residue and when I am out of my home, I carry a small pack of "Wet-Naps" in my back pocket which I use to clean myself after urinating!.
Take into consideration the points I have touched on, and I do hope you both find a positive resolution!.
Best of Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
