You should not do much of anything AT ALL after a hernia surgery!. You should wait until you feel no swelling, and then wait some more!. You don't want that to recur!. Get plenty of sleep and eat healthy too!

There is TONS of real info about hernia surgery and recovery available online!. I read quite a lot before my son's surgery in April!. Recurring is possible but not likely!. During the first few weeks after surgery, don't lift heavy objects or participate in "straddle sports" like bike riding!. The doctor provided a list before surgery of what to do/not do and what signs of trouble might be!. My son was fine right away and never had any trouble, but then again, he was only 7, not an adult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
