My husband. .?!

Question: My husband!. !.!?
Has had a bad case of the runs since Wednesday!. At first we thought it was a virus, but neither me nor my son has gotten it!. He also has really stinky burps!. They smell wicked!. Not your normal burps that smell like the food you ate, but really horrible sour, sulfuric maybe, burps!. I don't know whether I should make him go to the hospital or not!. We don't have insurance, so if it's nothing serious, we'd rather not have the hospital bills!. But I don't think it's just a virus anymore!. Anyone have any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
"The runs" will dehydrate a person very quickly!. He needs to keep the fluids up!.!. just water!.

There is a drug called "Imodium" which should effectively stabilise him!. It is readily available fomr a chemist here in Australia without prescription!.!.!.!. see http://www!.imodium!.com !.!. if you use it!.!. follow the directions on the pack!.

The bad breathe is the same problem!.!.!. a gastric bug of some kind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't risk it! -- He's been having diarrhea since Wednesday!. He can become dehydrated and die from it if not from the illness he may have!. If you don't have money and you get caught up with hospital bill you can always apply for emergency medicaid!. Your husband's symptoms are not normal, he may have a severe infection!. Please take him to the hospital or at least to a doctor as soon as possible!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had the same thing, except i am lactose intolerant and i didnt have the burps!. watch his intake of milk or milk products!. continue giving him Imodium, as that is what i am taking, just follow the directions!. and also take him to the doctor!. my stomach is still settling!. it might take a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yikes, sounds like the onset of diabetes type 2, usually when your breath starts to smell bad and he keeps burping, that means that his body is digesting the fats in his body to compensate for the imbalance in sugars, that's also a key sign of diabetes when a person is always thirsty!. Have his blood glucose levels checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Uh, I would go to the hospital!. I feel you on the insurance matter, however, better safe than sorry!. Maybe you can apply for emergency medi-cal or something!. Most counties offer those services!. Most people never really know about these services or even think they qualify, but well worth looking into!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, it sounds like he may have eaten something, and until it's out of his system, the symptoms will remain, give him pepto bysmol, it'll coat the stomach!. but don't let him sit there and dehydrate!. make him drink liquids(Gatorade would be best) and if he starts throwing up blood or has bloody poops, take him to the doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

Jeez, I feel so bad for him! I know what he's going through from first hand experience!. Those sulphur burps are the absolute worst!! He has a gastric thing going on and the only thing that stopped my 'incidents' was to take Pepto Bismol!. If that doesn't work for him, take him to a clinic for a diagnosis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is a beautiful example of the need for universal health care!. If people are seriously sick, and turn to random people on the Net for medical help because they can't afford the cost of real care, the system is broken!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The smelly ones does look like infection, if the runs have stopped, U dont have any worry!. Have him drink water every time he goes for the run!. If it lasts for more than four days and he starts feeling weak, he needs to be checked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take him to the hospital and tell them to bill you! Diarehea since wednesday is a long time!. It sound like he's got something gastro going on!. Take him in and pay the bill when you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think that i would definatley take him to the doctor now its better to pay a little now rather then pay a lot more if he happens to get even worse and needs to stay at the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to take your husband to the hospital!. That sounds like it could be Hep!. A!. or Ecoli poisoning both should be monitored by a doctor!. Your husband's health is worth the money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the Emergency Room at Forsyth Medical Center or Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take him to a clinic!. They are cheaper than a hospital for a basic checkup!. I wouldn't risk his health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might need a course of antibiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't go to the hospital (more expensive) but he should see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just let him rest and give him lots of hot fluids like tea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

GO SEE A DOCTOR BEFORE MORE THINGS GO WRONG WITH HIMWww@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like that better get checked out by a Doctor!. That's what i suggest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think its normal to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds normal to me!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. wait is that a problem!!!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

uhh!.!.!. here's an idea!.!.!.!. GO TO THE DOCTOR, EINSTEIN!. (Duhhh!.!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG! the same thing use to happen to me!. Except in my case it was something I ate and it didn't digest to good like very acidic food!. This isn't anything serious the only way for him to get rid of it is for him to get it out of his system!. If his burps smell like acid the best thing I could say is that he has to throw it up and trust me that won't smell to good either!. Try going to a pharmacy and get some over the counter drugs that will put his situation at ease!. But the only problem is he has to becareful of the vomiting because he can become dehydrated!.

Good Luck! I'm not a doctor but if it gets worse your going to have to take him to a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
