Question: Peeing the bed!?
I know I am going to get a few stupid answers for this one but I am still going to ask!. My husband is 26 years old, and he recently started the stop smoking drug chantix!. he has been on it about 3 weeks now, and its working wonders! But at about 5:30 this morning he woke me up VERY stressed out and said he started to pee the bed!!!! He has NEVER had this happen before and is totally stressed about it!. But he also mentioned that he had a dream that he was peeing and it just came out!. He caught himself and ran to the bathroom!. The side effects of the drug don't say anything about bladder problems, could it just be because of his peeing dreams!? Has anyone heard of a man peeing the bed!?! And do you think he should go to the doctors!?!? Thanks for your answers!. OH and he has been complaining of having to pee lots! no burning and he said his bladder is just full (he's peeing normal amounts, not just squirts)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Given the fact he has just started a new drug regimen and has never done this before, it is quite possible he could be suffering a weird side effect to it--- just because it's not listed doesn't mean it's impossible!.
My advice--- have him see a doctor as soon as possible, loss of bladder control is never a good sign and it could be something simple, but with health issues like that--- better safe than sorry!.
A dream could also just be a dream, but he should have been able to restrain himself, maybe see if it happens again before jumping the gun and remember--- sometimes the body just does weird things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's only happened once, I don't think there's reason for concern!. You can pee the bed at any age!. All that's required is a full bladder!. Sure, it's possible that the medication makes him urinate more, but I'm not an expert on that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
