Almost none at all if you follow the doctors directions!. Don't listen to posters that never had one, they don't know!.
It hurts a lot less than getting a tattoo, or suffering a toothache!.
BTW: They don't sedate you!. They only use a local pain killer!. You are aware of the whole process!. Some doctors put up a mirror so you can watch!. In Europe some doctors let you video tape the process!. The doctor will talk to you though the whole surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My husband just had one!. And he was in bed for a day and sore for a few days!. But he said it wasn't nearly as bad as he thought!. The thing is when you are done you still have sperm!. It has been almost 6 months and my husband still has a sperm count!. I guess it can take a year or more before you are sperm free!. Also they say it is reversible but the doc told us going into it that you should fully expect that it can NOT be reversed!. And you should know that after the initial appointment you have to wait a month to give you time to really think about your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
its a bit uncomfortable!.!.!.comparible to a visit to the dentist!.!.!.not bad and worth it!. during the procedure the only discomfort was when the shocked the ends to cauderize them!. that wasnt even that bad!. a little discomfort for a few days!.!.!.but an ice pack helps relieve it almost completely!.
THIS IS NOT AS BAD AS PEOPLE WANT TO MAKE IT OUT TO BE!. IT IS CONSIDERABLY EASIER AND RECOVERY TIME IS MUCH MUCH QUICKER THAN THE FEMALE COUNTERPART!!!
they do not put you under for this procedure!. they give you valiums and a pain reliever an hour or so prior which relieves all anxiety!. then a local anestetic numbs the area while the doc does his work!. lasts about half an hour tops, and like i said, the only thing bothersome was the shock!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

not terrible!. more a nauseous feeling than real pain!. and it will heal up quite quickly!. but no lifting or other exertion for a week or three is highly recommended!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
