There is actually no place in scripture that forbids masturbation!. The closest is Genesis 38:9 which is the story of Onan "spilling his seed" which some have interpreted to be a proscription of masturbation, but Onan was "spilling his seed" to prevent having children with his brother's wife, which God considered wicked!. That's because under the old testament you were supposed to take your dead brother's wife as your own and have children!. He violated that law and that's why God killed him, not for the "spilling of seed!."
Unfortunately the Catholic Library says "!.!.!.acts such as adultery, homosexuality, and masturbation, which the Church has always regarded as mortal sins!.!.!." So it does appear that mother RCC considers masturbation as a mortal sin!.
Of course, there's nothing in the bible to support that!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This concept is one of the reasons I'm not a Roman Catholic!.
The RCC has an ascetic view of sex that says that it's sinful because it's a worldly pleasure, and is only excusable in the context of marriage and employed for the ostensible purpose of making children!. They also think any form of birth control other than the rhythm method is a sin!. However they're hypocritical by not coming down as hard on other earthly pleasures like eating and sleeping!.
If you're a Roman Catholic boy who likes to masturbate, you could do like a lot of other boys and resist for as long as you can, masturbate, go to confession, and do your extra Ave Marias and Our Fathers!.
Or you can do like some other Roman Catholic boys; masturbate and never tell a soul!.
You'll be no different from your parents who use condoms or diaphragms and figure it's not the priest's business what they do in the privacy of their bedroom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Though I am Roman Catholic, I'm not all that sure about masturbation!. I doubt it is, seeing as the priest aren't allowed to marry and they need to relieve sexual tension and feelings without breaking the rules!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
