Question: I'm really skinny!.!.!. and i can never gain weight!.!.!. HELP!!?
I am 13 years old and I am REALLY REALLY (I mean like Eric Forman from "That 70s Show") SKINNY! I never understood I eat ALO of junk food!.!.!. I am EXTREMELY lazy and it always seems like in reality I should be fat!? (Just so everyone knows I DON'T WANT TO BE FAT!) But whatever I do it seems I can't gain weight!? Now I don't want to gain weight as in fat but I hate being so skinny so I guess what I'm saying is I was somehow I can grow more muscle!.!.!. HELP PLEASE!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Me and you my friend have the same exact problem!. But I think its because we have "high metabolisms"!. So someone with high metabolism burns energy really fast!. Thats why you arent gaining weight as quickly as you'd like!. But to gain muscle try lifting weights, doing push ups, stuff like that!. I joined cheerleading and thats helping me build some muscle!. Maybe look into a sport!?

I'm the same way and so is my son - he's 18 now!. I'm still that way but my son wanted to change enough that he did something about it!.

Get rid of junk food, soft drinks, anything high in sugar and fat!. This is not only healthy, but will help you not feel as lazy!.
Lots of water, high calorie stuff like starches - potatoes rice, etc!. and lots of protein - meat, peanut butter, etc!. Eat a lot of fresh fruit!. Do not skip meals!. In fact, instead of 3 large meals a day, try to eat 4-6 smaller meals each day!.

He compliments this with protin shakes!. We get whey protein from Wal-Mart that he adds to the shakes!.

He also works out daily!. This is a hard habit to develop unless you really push yourself!. It'll also keep you from wanting to sit around all day!. Run, swim, exercise!. Join a gym - sometimes it's easier to make yourself fo this stuff if you're paying for it!. Get a workout buddy!. It's also easier to keep doing it if you have someone with you, to push you when you want to stop!.

I'm 5'11'' and weigh 145-150 lbs!. My son is 5'11" and weighs 165-175 lbs!. He's slim, but very toned and muscular!. He has no body fat and gets a lot of compliments on his appearance and build!.
