Not usually, but it does give you the comfort of knowing :
a: you still have 2 of them
b: they are not squashed/split etc
c: they are not swelling up as you double up in pain
d: there is no chance of a second direct hit in the immediate future
If the cords and veins supporting the testicles become inflamed by the force of the blow, holding them up may well take away a little of the pain!. Testicles hang due to gravity and counteracting their weight may be beneficial in pain reduction!. In fact men who have surgical operations on these organs are usually given "suspensory bandages" while they recover!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it would depend on the case of soreness!. If you lack circulation (for some reason!?) down there, then I would suggest not holding them but somehow getting motion to that general area!.
