Age Limits?!
Question: Age Limits!?
ok so here are my views on different age limits!. These are based on the Texas age limits!.
DL: 16
Sex: 17
Tobacco: 18
Alcohol: 21 (now)
Ok so I disagree with a few things pertaining to age limits!. Well really only one!. Tobacco, a leaf commonly somked or chewed!. Can couse cancer at any amount!. Alchohol, a beverage commonly drank, can pervent liver cancer if taken in reasonable quantities!. Now does that seem right to yall!. We can poison our boddies at 18 but we can help them until were 21!. Also We can get ourselves killed at war at 18 (can be forced to fight) but cant drink until were 21!. I just dont think that makes much sense!. I know that drunk drivers are a problem but there always going to be!. Why cant we as teenagers, enjoy alchohol while were still teens!. I mean we can screw, smoke, drive, and vote (what could be worse than that) at 18 so why cant we drink!. Gosh!.

You have a great point here, I don't see why the tobacco age is lower than the alcohol age, both are EQUALLY harmful!. Sure alcohol poses risks to young drivers but somking a cigarette while driving can be risky too! I hate tobacco, and I wish it were illegal!. I believe that alcohol, in moderation or mildness, is perfectly fine!.

Well!.!.!. for me I would consider that all of them be raised to 20!.!.!. that is because I am evil! >:D
But seriously, I believe that the drinking age should be lowered to 18!. This is true adulthood in the eyes of Americans!.!.!. However, if we could!.!.!. I would say military should get special privileges!.!.!. if they sign up for war then they should automatically be considered an adult and be allowed to drink!.!.!. For my brother, who is currently 20 and in the marines he is allowed to drink alcohol because he went to Iraq!.

Alcohol does not "pervent" liver cancer Tex!. It has been shown to prevent heart disease in small doses, but somehow I am thinking you are looking to tackle a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon over a saturday night, which is not so good for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The government didn't choose that number at random!. It has been shown in many studies that the brain does not finish developing until the age of 20!. Alcohol, which has been proven to cause brain damage, could permanently damage the brain if taken in too large quantities before the brain is through developingWww@Answer-Health@Com

And I object to teens getting permission to drink:they are gonna behave out of boundaries and cause accidents:alcohol on younger people have bigger effects!.

One of the biggest reason's this law will not change is because:

I live in New Jersey and I wish we could get our Driver's License at 16! We have to wait until 17!.

Well I believe that it was kinda hush hush, but now you are able to drink at the age of 18 on a military base if you are stationed there!. It had been this way for a while since the 50s but in the 80s the people wanted change!. however recently wit the moto for a change: "I can die for my country, but I can't drink!." , the army has kinda said whatever on it!. The laws don't listen to teenagers and citizens for thelowering of the drinking age because it's an issue of maturity (cause not everyone at 18 is mature), and rather than being permanent, you can wait 3 yrs to sip that whiskey!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i'm only 19, and i do drink, very rarely, but i do!.!.!.but i also agree with the legal age because it prevents many kids from going out and getting drunk!.!.!.our brains aren't fully developed until we hit our 20's!.!.!.and at the ages between 18 and early 20's we tend to be more ballsy, more impulsive, and stupider when drinking than someone who can maturely drink!.!.!.

All four things you listed can be very dangerous!. (Five dangerous things if we count voting!) We've set up laws to try to control them and keep people safe!. I tend to agree that choosing 21 as the legal age for buying and drinking alcohol in the US is silly!. Many people
