Answers:
Depends on if you are a private patient or public patient!. Private patient because money is a motivator you should be done in less than a month in a private hospital!. As a private patient in a public hospital it could be the same or a bit longer!.

Public patient because it is elective, will depend on the waiting list, as theatre time will be allocated against the need, how long the person has been waiting and availability of staff to run the theatre, anaesthetist, assistant for the surgeon etc!. Also if the surgeon is going on holidays, to conferences also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would encourage you to get private health insurance quickly, and ask to be put onto one of his Private Theatre lists!. In terms of how long to wait, it depends on when his lists are (surgeons are allocated timeslots on theatre, usually a monthly rotation), and when he can fit you in!. It is not a long proceedure, so he may even be able to add you on to the end of a list pretty soon!. Public lists can be a long time, particularly in Launceston where there is a shortage of surgeons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
