Don't even know where to start...?!

Question: Don't even know where to start!.!.!.!?
I am a 20 year old male and like many other people my age I have unspoken insecurities about my body!. I am an average height (5ft 11) but I am very skinny and always have been!. I'm Irish and went to an all-boys school which is fairly common here, but the school I went to had a reputation for being a great rugby school which is a sport I don't play so I was pretty much the only person in my year not to be considered a stereotypical muscular rugby jock!. I was always a lot more scrawny than the rest of the guys and for my whole life I have had no choice but to sit back and watch everyone else get their girl!. I was a later-comer to puberty and didn't have many friends at school, generally keeping myself to myself but I was bullied A LOT!. This led to me having a pretty low confidence, again ruining my chance of getting a girlfriend!. I've had a few compliments about my looks before but I think I'm to wraped up in insecurities about my body to walk past a gym without feeling awkward!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey whats up, i felt the same way you do when i was 20 !. i had similar experience growing up and the bullying does take its toll on one`s spirit!.and chips away at your self esteem!. and when i was in school there were many girls i was interested in but they always went for the big jock guys i was short and skinny, and i was a late bloomer as far as puberty goes and always felt ugly and self conscious about my body so i can understand how u feel , however when i hit about 21 or 22 thats when i finally got more confidence and hit my prime with the ladies!.!.!. and lets just say that "when it rains , it pours" haha!.!. and as it turns out im kind of glad that i was a late bloomer, im in my 30`s now and alot of my friends are getting beer guts and going bald etc etc!. but i still have the same body i had when i was in my 20`s and it turns out i have a pretty good body and was much more critical of myself and my body image than i should have been !. it just takes some people longer to find themselves, and i was one of those people!. what your going through is normal!.!.!.my advice would be to look at yourself and find all the things that are good about you and begin to accept yourself for who you are!. WE ALL have our insecurities and inadequacies!. make an effort to stop judging yourself based on your looks and body and try to do the best you can with what god gave you!. if you can learn to like yourself, then others will like you as well!.!.i hope this helps!.!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Gee, Joe, I really feel for you, dude!. I knew a few guys like you during my younger days, so I know what you've been through!.

If you were my boy I'd tell you to, first and foremost, find a gym or personal trainer and get yourself in some kind of physical shape, including some noticeable muscle development and definition!.

Secondly, I wholeheartedly recommend taking some fighting/martial arts/self-defense courses!. This will do wonders for your self confidence!.

Thirdly, do not project your fears and insecurities!. Treat women with respect, grace and dignity, and they'll come to you!.

Good luck, Joe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was similar to you!. Very thin (still am), DID play rugby!.!.!. badly!. NEVER scored a try, not once!.

Confidence is learned, not something you are born with, believe it or not!. Find the things you are good at, and do them, rather than worry about the things you cannot change!.

Long story short, I did the most difficult thing I could do (that was still scary as f*ck, yet sensible) to make myself accept my body, etc for what it was!. I became a naturist :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
