Stopping smoking requires carefull preperation?!

Question: Stopping smoking requires carefull preperation!?
Answers:
Just stop doing it!. You're now an ex-smoker!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I failed on the first try!. After nine months, the symptoms of not smoking were still getting worse every day - starting again was deliberate, not just falling off the wagon!.

Ten years later, I tried again and succeeded!. It was a walk through hell for at least a year, possibly worse than the first time - I was nearly suicidal at some points!. Now, nine years later, I still want a smoke, but the symptoms that made life not worth living have passed!.

Listen to your own experience!. If it's easy for you, then great!. If it's hard, then ignore all the people who say "just quit!." Whatever they're talking about has nothing to do with your situation, no matter what they claim!.

Try the patch, get welbutrin from your doctor, get ready to exercise yourself into stupor a few times a week, give up alcohol and maybe coffee for at least a week or two, and have something to do with your mouth ready at all times (I chewed cloves - not for everyone)!. Be ready to treat it as 100 small problems, where each needs a different solution, not one big one!. I had a bad reaction to hypnotism, but some people swear by it!.

And, if you fall off the wagon, don't treat it as failure!. Get back on, and remember that you are still quitting, even if you don't quit all at once!. You didn't fail, you just made a mistake, and you'll do better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

willpower is a misunderstood word!.
It does NOT mean sitting in a chair facing agonising cravings, and forcing yourself to say no,as is popularly thought!.
It DOES mean making up your mind to do something, and making it happen!.
preperation is essential to help make up your mind, therefore it increases your willpower, and if done properly it can be painless!.Maximum willpower is needed prior to quitting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In order to give up any behaviour successfully you do need to do a certain amount of preperation!.

Firstly you need to be honest with yourself and ask if you are ready to change!. Its handy to look at the amount of confidence you have in your ability to change!. If its low then you need to look at and plan ways of increasing this confidence!. If you quit and relapse this will decrease your confidence in yourself even further and affect any future chance you may have in quitting!.

Its always important to prepare for any difficulties you might experience (such as stocking up on sugar-free lollipops to help break the habit)!.

The more you plan and prepare your change, the better chance you will have of quitting smoking and for good too!. Obviously there are people who can decided then and there that they want to stop smoking!.!. and they do it!. But, most of us are not like this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It helped me a lot to prepare for it - I don't think you should underestimate what a difficult thing this is to do - probably impossible for non-smokers to imagine!.
I planned to change my morning routines, I'm an early riser anyway and the best part of my day used to be sitting around in the early morning, drinking coffee and smoking - I know it sounds sad!
I joined a gym, and now get up and go there instead!. I also bought myself one of those Nintendo DS things to have something to do with my hands and to take my mind off it!.
I planned the first few weekends so I'd either be with non smokers or going out to eat or the cinema rather than to the pub (OK you can't smoke inside but it is the summer) with my smoking friends!.
I'm still not smoking after 6 weeks and all of the above has helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah!. Tell everyone you know that you're quitting in one week's time!. EVERYONE!

and tell em to smack you if they see you smokin

then make sure you've got enough that they'll last you till the end, and enjoy your last one thoroughtly!. Then say a tearful goodbye and never go back!.

once you've decided that strongly, it's a lot easier to say "hmm i feel like a!.!. NO! i don't smoke any more!"

if you have that attitude, the cravings only last a minute or two, and after a few months it's about 5 secondsWww@Answer-Health@Com
