Question: Is it possible to stop masterbating while you are still single!?
I'm a guy, and a Christian!. Ever since I hit puberty and shockingly discovered masturbation, I've been some sort of hooked!. It's gone from REALLY bad where I couldn't take a shower, to staying up all night, to only once or twice a week!.
So I'm trying to be a good Christian and I keep coming across this question!. Is it even possible to stop!? Yesterday I tried, "Fasting" from it!. I had a sex dream that night! This morning I was so frustrated from the dream I HAD to!. Will I ever be anything less than an obsessed hornball!? If I quit, will I have better luck with women!? Is there a hormonal or sociological link there!? How do I stop!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way to stop is to exercise an extream amount of self control!. Find other things to do, keep yourself busy with a hobby hang out with friends!. Think of things other then sex and masturbation!. And if you find yourself thinking about it let yourself think about it for a few seconds and then switch your focus!.
And please know that it is ok to masturbate!. Even if you are a Christian!. I'm a Christian and female and I do it!. As long as you don't have sexual intercourse until after marriage you are still a good Christian!.
Oh and yeah its a hormonal link it depends on how much testosterone and dopamine your body produces (dopamine is the feel good chemical your brain releases when things make you happy or excited)!. I guess it could also be some sort of pshycological link to it, like you think the world will stop turning if you don't get off but I highly doubt thats your problem!.

When I was a Xian I went through some of the same things!. I think I went about 20 days once and masturbated in my sleep!.
Look, I'm an atheist and can't advise you on your faith, but I don't think that you can find any where in the Buy Bull that it says that masturbation is wrong!. I'd be willing to bet that when Jesus had zits on his face that he took things in hand as well!. Don't let your religion drive you crazy!. Masturbation is a personal thing!. You are the only one that is going to know as long as you keep it to yourself!. Its perfectly natural!. Don't waste your time trying to find someone way to knock your libido down!. I feel that the more you know that you're prohibited to do it, the more you're inclined to do it!. I'm a catholic!. But this does not stop me from being human!. What's wrong with doing something in the privacy of your own room, without hurting yourself or anybody else!? Therefore, just be yourself!. Don't try to stop yourself because you're a christian!. Christians are humans and they have sexual feelings like all the others!. My opinion is that if you just stop thinking that you shouldn't masturbate, somehow you'll masturbate less!.
