cruches all the way you really feel it more and you see results quicker !. i can only do about 50 crunches straight before i really feel it but i can do situps all day!.but really you dont need to do any just do a 20 min run each day or go for a 20 km cycle!.
i have heard that sit ups are bad for your back but it is only if you do them loads i think but if ur worried ask a doctor!.

Agree with Dan above!. To be fair, sit-ups are pretty much pointless as they don't target the ab muscles and generally strain the bottom of your spine!.
Crunches are ideal as they tend to target the lower and upper abs!. However, my advice to you is that crunches alone will only TONE your abs!. You need to do Cardio exercise, such as cycling, running, swimming (anything that will make you breathless) for approx 30 mins per day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
